Intro[]
A Wall is a main thing to defend your castles. it surrounds all your belongings to your castles and outposts. Your castle wall protects your castles and can be upgraded up to level 5 with resource, and up to level 8 with construction token and upgrade token. Every time you upgrade them, it increases the protection each time (maximum 200%). You can equip defensive tools on it, with the number depending on the level of the wall. They are always required to be upgraded before you can upgrade towers or castle gate. It is one of the few structures you do not need to build and it can be upgraded instantly with no building time. Every time you get an expansion, the wall will automatically wrap around it and will add a tower.
In the July 2020 update, the wall got a new level, alongside the gate, tower, and castle moat. This is unlocked at level 650 with researching new techs in the hall of legends with sceats, which is earned through events and events shops for example a nomad shop. A wall is used to defend your castles by put your defense soldiers in your castle.
In the October 2022 update, there is a change for wall level, and the level of castle wall is increased, and it's protection does it too. Starting from level 5, the cost of upgrade now using construction token and upgrade token.
The castle wall has a limit, and you can increased by:
- Buy a Wall Capacity build item from Master Blacksmith, Special Offers, Samurai Invasion, or craft from Construction yard (permanent).
- Buy a temporary build item which increased unit limit on the castle wall from Master Blacksmith, Special Offers, Nomad Invasion.
- Assign a point in Hall of Legends.
- Equip any equipment or gems, which is contained increase wall unit limit bonus.
- Equip any look item that gives you unit limit on the wall. Note most of these are limited, so be careful!
- You can get from achieving reward in War Of The Realms, Nomad Invasion, Bloodcrow Invasion, and Samurai Invasion. However, it requires you to pick Expert mode or higher difficulty.
It is possible to have over 800% wall protection, with this condition:
- Castle wall level 8 (200%)
- Additional from equipment (relic) (160%)
- Additional from relic gems (60%)
- Additional from relic hero (60%)
- Additional bonus from Hall Of Legends (30%)
- 4 Murder holes & 1 Trebuchet (+280% wall protection and +120% moat protection). Note: It is possible to have 5 defense tool slot in flanks, by allocate legendary points in Hall Of Legends Defense menu, which you can equip 5 murder holes (250%), or 5 field cannons (+300% wall protection and +250% combat strength for ranged units in defense), or 5 spiked boards (+400% wall protection and +175% combat strength for melee units in defense), but only works against castle lords with legendary level.

Trivia[]
- The wall determines what level the towers and castle gate are. The level of the wall is the level limit for the towers and gate. For example, a level 3 wall will allow level 3 towers and gate, but not level 4.
- The wall determines what your castle/outpost looks like in the map. This is shared with the gate keep, and in outposts, the towers.
- The legendary skill “technical innovator” allows an extra wall defense slot on the flanks.
- The units on the wall is based on the highest defense power.
- Since October 2022 change, it is possible to have more than 3500 unit limit on the castle wall.
