The Shadow Maceman is a melee attacker that contains a similar appearance as the Maceman. It is ideal against weak ranged defenders, and is only available to recruit at the Shadow Mercenary Camp for 30 rubies each. However, it will be replaced by the Shadow Scoundrel once the player reaches level 40.
Although it cannot be seen or killed by an enemy, when it is sent for a shadow attack, it cannot be admitted to the military hospital once wounded after the fight.

- The name of this unit is previously called Shadow Mace, but is renamed to Shadow Maceman after an update has been made at an unknown time.
